THE LOGO

The Implement Petrology Logo is based upon an illustration of an axehead from Ehenside Tarn, Cumbria. It was first characterised and published in 1874 by Darbishire (1874, [Fig 2] p 281) in Archaeologia Volume 44.

A full description of the axehead will be posted here in due course. However, it is also described in Davis & Edmonds (2011, [Fig 15] p 181).
